24 Hour Read-a-thon Update #2

Hours read: three

Hours for the discussion of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn led by me: two

Hours taken in walking through the autumn trees: one

Here’s to hoping I can do better the second half of the read-a-thon, and that you are reading more than I.

  1. Loved your post on Marshall Field’s. Many wonderful memories of that store. My “mecca” growing up in Chicago. Still think about the chocolate covered strawberries in the summer and the windows at Christmas!!

    1. Who could ever forget the windows at Christmas once one has seen them? They were a marvel to me as a child, and even as an adult. I’m glad you know of which I speak.

    1. Well, I surely did enjoy the fresh air, and my husband did want a little of my time today. 😊 He and our faithful dog accompanied me on the autumnal promenade.

  2. In the end it doesn’t really matter how much we read, just that we enjoyed ourselves while doing so. Lovely photos, and lovely autumn colours! I think your day has already been a success. 🙂

  3. Can’t say that I got very much read today but look at those trees you posted! I took two walks/runs today–one with one daughter and the other with both and just really enjoyed the gorgeous fall weather. Page number is just a number. Hope you’re having a lovely evening!
