  1. Colleen, such a clever response!Siany, from every window I can find such a view. I think it was more clever of the snow. :)Bermuda Onion, if you like the tropical temps of Berumuda, this would not please you!Catsynth, we can't go outside! I think I might brave it in awhile, but only on foot.

  2. It is so beautiful. But that snow looks very cold, very deep. We are having wild winds here today in Southern CA.There is good news, though. The groundhog did not see his shadow.

  3. Hmmm….OK, it's worse at your place than at mine. However, we are way too cold for Texas and we're having rolling blackouts because other parts of Texas are struggling to keep enough power. Austin is having to send part of ours to the Dallas area I think.Stay inside. And read. LOL

  4. Holy crap. That's just all I know to say. It's been in the teens in TX, and we're all sitting 'round looking at each other wondering what to do! It's icy outside, and tomorrow will be day 3 of my college being closed. SOOOO much to make up when we do go back.

  5. Yikes! That's a lot of snow on the roof in that first picture. Do you have to scrape it off with a roof rake? I saw pictures of the storm in Chicago, including pictures of cars left abandoned on Lake Shore Drive. Looked like something out of a Stephen King novel. Hope you're snug and warm in your house. Stay off the roads and be safe!! This too shall pass, right? Says she who is getting ready for tonight's low of negative 6. Gotta remember to drip the faucet in the basement. :)To my pals in TX, stay warm!!

  6. So pretty. Are you in Chicago-land? I'm in Evanston. The drifts are too high to get over. I hope you were able to stay warm inside and enjoy the day.

  7. Well, there are those who despise the white stuff, and those who wouldn't live without it. I must admit I belong to the later group. My dear mother, who spent her childhood in Canada, misses it very much when she lives in Florida for the Winter. My father? Not so much!

  8. I wasn't miserable; I was inside making meatloaf and baked potatoes while the guys were shovelinig the driveway, and when I finished that I began reading. I read The Devil's Star by Jo Nesbo in the two days we were off school, and I must admit, I was very happy. It is gorgeous, in every way!

  9. I can't believe this weather that has swept the nation. I think everyone in Dallas is in a panic over what this is going to mean for the superbowl on Sunday (after getting several inches last night on top of the layer of ice that has stuck around since Tuesday). I hope you stay warm and safe. And I wouldn't mind if you shared more pictures from your trip! 😉

  11. What can be said – the photo's are gorgeous and the snow quite tempting right now – its currently 41 Deg C at my place – Aus. We've bunkered down in front of the air con. Isn't it strange how the extremes are in force at present?

  12. This is CRAZY, this snow thing! Beautiful, but crazy. Had to cancel a writers' meeting this morning (Sat) due to MORE snow during the night. But it's beautiful as shown here. It has that darn magic. It also has "hot chocolate." There's something about snow and hot chocolate, isn't there?

  13. Oh, my. I'm feeling pure snow envy here – I'd give anything for some. Wishing and hoping. We missed it Friday, when it went to Dallas. Maybe this Wednesday. Maybe….
